Sketch: Shael

A character I created to go with a book series, The Black Jewels Trilogy by Anne Bishop. Shael is a Red-Jewelled Warlord Prince of a previously unknown race. I've never written anything with him, he's just a fun little invention to pass the time. Sketched on a page in my notebook, hence the ugly page lines. I'm planning to digitally colour him when I have time.

EDIT: I took out the page lines. It was a huge hassle (and you can still see the little tics where the page lines crossed my pencil lines) but I think it looks a lot better now. I also cleaned up the pencil lines and eraser marks while I was at it.
